UAE Cyber Security Council and etisalat UAE unveil Discovery Secure platform for enhanced threat intelligence
A collaborative endeavour between the UAE Cyber Security Council and etisalat UAE has produced Discovery Secure, a sophisticated centralised platform engineered to elevate cyber threat visibility and enable more discerning security decision-making across the nation.
The UAE Cyber Security Council, working in concert with etisalat UAE, has unveiled Discovery Secure, a centralised platform conceived to orchestrate the visibility and governance lifecycle of cyber threat intelligence within a meticulously secured, role-governed environment. This initiative represents a distinctly Emirati approach to fortifying cyber threat visibility and fostering more sophisticated security decision-making across organisations.
Designed, developed and hosted entirely within the UAE, Discovery Secure currently undergoes proof-of-concept evaluation, with intentions to facilitate comprehensive analysis of cyber threats at a national scale. The platform functions as a secure, dependable and locally administered security intelligence service, enabling organisations to transform raw threat data into meticulously structured and actionable intelligence.
The platform brings cyber threat intelligence into a unified environment, furnishing authorised users with crystalline visibility into threats, risks and emerging patterns whilst supporting investigation, enrichment and assessment workflows. By centralising the ingestion and stewardship of threat intelligence data, the platform delivers structured visibility into the threat landscape whilst enabling analysts to conduct investigations with enhanced precision.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, articulated the philosophy underpinning the initiative: “Effective cyber threat intelligence transcends the mere accumulation of data. It encompasses the transformation of pertinent information into a lucid and timely comprehension of risk, underpinned by appropriate mechanisms for access governance and accountability. Through our collaboration with etisalat UAE, the Discovery Secure proof of concept shall investigate how locally developed capabilities can reinforce threat visibility and facilitate more perspicacious cybersecurity decisions, whilst preserving the essential requirements for security, privacy and data governance.”

Discovery Secure, developed and hosted in the UAE in partnership with the UAE Cyber Security Council, establishes a secure, role-governed environment for threat intelligence management. By harmonising controlled access with traceability and accountability, the platform empowers security teams to assess threats with enhanced precision and make substantially more informed decisions.”
The platform extends functionality to decision-makers through summarised views and operational metrics, whilst maintaining comprehensive traceability, accountability and audit readiness across all threat-handling activities. Role-based access governance ensures that threat intelligence is disseminated in accordance with organisational scope and security requirements.
