Emirates Red Crescent Showcases Humanitarian Vision at Al Dhafra Dates Festival
The humanitarian organisation unveils its charitable initiatives and community programmes at the celebrated annual celebration of Emirati heritage and agricultural tradition
The Emirates Red Crescent is gracing the 5th Al Dhafra Dates Festival with its presence, participating in the distinguished gathering that unfolds across Liwa in the Al Dhafra Region from 16th to 25th October under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the organisation.
Through its Al Dhafra Centre, the Emirates Red Crescent has established an engaging pavilion that illuminates the breadth of its humanitarian and development endeavours throughout the United Arab Emirates and beyond. The space serves as a portal into the organisation’s transformative work, presenting a compelling narrative of compassion and commitment to those in need.
Visitors to the pavilion encounter a curated exhibition of the organisation’s most impactful initiatives, complemented by a series of enriching community activities, educational awareness workshops and intellectually stimulating interactive competitions. These offerings foster a deeper understanding of humanitarian principles whilst encouraging meaningful participation from all who attend.
The pavilion thoughtfully integrates mechanisms through which visitors may support the organisation’s charitable endeavours, featuring accessible donation platforms that enable immediate contribution to seasonal programmes and ongoing philanthropic initiatives.
Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, articulated the profound significance of the organisation’s participation, emphasising its steadfast dedication to community engagement and the amplification of awareness regarding its humanitarian mission. He underscored the transformative potential of the organisation’s work in enhancing the circumstances of vulnerable populations across multiple geographies.
