Build Your Home at Dubai Festival Plaza This October

Dubai Festival Plaza transforms into a creative haven for interior design enthusiasts, hosting an immersive home celebration festival throughout autumn.

Dubai Festival Plaza welcomes visitors to an extraordinary seasonal celebration devoted to the art and pleasure of creating beautiful living spaces. Running throughout autumn, Build Your Home forms the centrepiece of Dubai Home Festival, a curated experience designed to inspire those seeking to refresh, reimagine and elevate their domestic environments. The event represents a thoughtful convergence of retail, education and creative expression, offering the discerning homemaker and design enthusiast a comprehensive platform to explore furnishings, décor and the principles that underpin sophisticated interior spaces.

The festival transforms the mall into a destination where aesthetic inspiration meets practical guidance. Visitors will discover an exceptionally diverse showcase of home furnishings and accessories, drawn from the considerable range of specialty retailers housed within Dubai Festival Plaza. The experience moves far beyond conventional shopping, offering instead a curated journey through colour, form, texture and spatial arrangement. Whether seeking statement pieces, subtle accents or a complete reimagining of a room, guests will find themselves surrounded by the carefully selected products that define contemporary home design.

Central to the appeal of Build Your Home is its commitment to education and creative participation. A series of thoughtfully designed workshops throughout the festival period invites guests to acquire new skills and techniques. Flower arranging workshops offer instruction in the traditional art of botanical composition, guiding participants through the selection, preparation and arrangement of blooms. Candle making sessions provide insight into the craft of fragrance creation and vessel design, allowing visitors to craft bespoke pieces for their homes. Apron customisation workshops offer a lighter, more playful engagement with creative craft, transforming plain textiles into personalised pieces of functional art.

Expert guidance and influencer masterclasses

The festival recognises that interior design benefits enormously from professional perspective and lived experience. Free masterclasses led by influential figures in the design and styling sphere offer visitors accessible wisdom on colour theory, spatial planning, mood creation and the curation of personal collections. These sessions distil professional expertise into digestible, actionable insights that guests can immediately apply to their own spaces. Complementing these masterclasses is the opportunity to consult with a dedicated interior consultant, available to provide personalised advice on specific design challenges, from room layouts to colour palettes and furniture selection.

The customization bar experience

A distinctive feature of Build Your Home is the Customization Bar, a station dedicated to personalising tote bags through a range of techniques and embellishments. This complimentary service, available with qualifying daily expenditure, invites participants to create a unique memento of their festival visit. The customization experience acknowledges the contemporary desire to bring individuality and personal expression into everyday items, transforming utilitarian objects into carriers of personal style and identity.
