FNC and Ukraine Parliament Explore Enhanced Diplomatic Cooperation
The Federal National Council has engaged in substantive discussions with Ukraine's diplomatic leadership to strengthen parliamentary and bilateral ties between the two nations.
A significant diplomatic exchange has taken place in Abu Dhabi as Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council, convened with Oleksandr Balanutsa, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates, to explore avenues for deepened cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, which took place on Monday, focused upon the prospect of elevating parliamentary relations between the Federal National Council and the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s unicameral parliament. Both delegations identified opportunities to strengthen bilateral engagement in ways that serve the mutual interests and aspirations of their respective countries.
Dr. Al Nuaimi articulated the United Arab Emirates’ unwavering commitment to fostering security, peace and stability across both regional and international spheres. He illuminated the considerable diplomatic and humanitarian endeavours undertaken by the nation in support of international initiatives dedicated to resolving crises and conflicts through peaceful means. Particularly noteworthy were the Emirates’ mediation efforts between Ukraine and Russia, which have facilitated successful prisoner exchanges between the two nations, demonstrating the nation’s constructive role in international affairs.
