The Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge expands relief operations as airlift milestone reaches 450 tonnes

The sixth aircraft in an expanding relief operation departs Abu Dhabi, marking a significant moment in the UAE's integrated humanitarian response to support Palestinians in Gaza through coordinated air, sea and land transport.

An aircraft lifted from Abu Dhabi on Saturday, joining a growing constellation of relief efforts that have now delivered 450 tonnes of humanitarian aid by air alone. This sixth departure marks a pivotal expansion of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the coordinated initiative through which the United Arab Emirates continues to channel essential supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.

The operation represents a sophisticated exercise in logistics and compassion. Relief supplies arrive first in the Egyptian city of Al Arish, from where they are transported overland into Gaza and distributed directly to families on the ground. The efficiency of this three-part network—air, land and sea—ensures that aid reaches those most in need with minimal delay.

What distinguishes this phase is the introduction of maritime transport to the existing airlift operations. The Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship, named in honour of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has begun loading relief supplies for sea transport, a development that deepens the UAE’s capacity to sustain the flow of aid. This expansion reflects a strategic commitment to maintaining momentum in humanitarian response, particularly amid challenging conditions on the ground.

Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has positioned itself as a steadfast partner to the Palestinian people. The Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge, which now encompasses air, sea and land routes, embodies this commitment through concrete action and coordinated resource deployment.

The operation continues to accelerate its humanitarian response, drawing on the nation’s logistical expertise and infrastructure to ensure a steady delivery of essential support. Each aircraft, each shipment, each overland convoy represents not merely the movement of supplies, but the active expression of a nation’s dedication to alleviating suffering and supporting vulnerable populations during a period of profound difficulty.
