The healthcare authority has earned Epic Gold Star Configuration Level 10 for the second consecutive year, positioning itself among the world's most advanced digital health systems and demonstrating the transformative power of integrated technology in patient care.

The seamless flow of patient information through a unified digital ecosystem represents one of modern healthcare’s most consequential achievements. Dubai Health has now demonstrated this mastery at the highest level, earning Epic Gold Star Configuration Level 10 for the second consecutive year, a distinction held by only five percent of healthcare institutions worldwide.

Dubai Health attained 94 percent of Epic’s Gold Star configuration criteria, achieving one of the highest levels of optimisation for the world’s leading electronic health record platform, whilst simultaneously achieving an 82 percent Epic Gold Star “In Use” score. The Dubai Health app offers patients admitted to hospital and those receiving emergency care secure access to their health information throughout their stay, including daily schedules, medications, educational resources, and direct communication with their care team. The application transforms the patient experience from passive receipt of care to active engagement in their own health journey, with digital tools that extend their utility beyond discharge.

Fast Pass represents another elegant innovation, automatically offering earlier appointments to patients when cancellations become available. This feature reduces waiting times, improves access to care, optimises clinic schedules, and minimises the need for manual appointment coordination, demonstrating how technology can dissolve friction from the patient experience.

Generative AI Summaries represent perhaps the most intellectually sophisticated capability, enabling clinicians to review a patient’s medical history, recent care activities, and admission details through concise AI-generated summaries. By surfacing key clinical information within existing workflow, the feature supports more informed decision-making and allows clinicians to dedicate precious time to the human dimensions of patient care that technology cannot replace.
