UAE Leadership Offers Condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on Passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid
The President, Rulers of the Emirates and senior officials gathered to express their respects following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honouring his decades of service to the nation.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, joined the Rulers of the Emirates and other senior government officials in offering condolences to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, following the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The gathering in Zabeel, Dubai, brought together the Supreme Council Members and Rulers across the seven emirates. His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, were among those paying their respects. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, also attended the occasion.
The Crown Princes of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Qaiwain and Ras Al Khaimah similarly attended the condolence gathering, reflecting the unified expression of respect across the nation’s leadership. Notable attendees also included His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, alongside various ministers and senior officials of the state.
In recognition of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid’s legacy, those present reflected upon his remarkable contributions to the United Arab Emirates from its earliest years. His service spanned the formative period of the nation’s founding and the subsequent establishment of its vital institutions, representing a lifetime of dedication to the development and prosperity of the UAE and its people.
Receiving condolences on behalf of the family were senior members of the Dubai leadership, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
