Crown Prince Establishes Board of Trustees for Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has formally constituted the governance structure for the prestigious foundation dedicated to advancing medical and educational sciences.
In his capacity as Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, has issued Executive Council Resolution No. (49) of 2026, establishing the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences.
The newly formed Board will be led by Humaid Mohammed Al Qutami as Chairman, with Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Muhairi serving in the capacity of Vice Chairman. This composition reflects the emirate’s commitment to fostering excellence in two critical sectors that underpin societal development and prosperity.
The broader Board membership comprises a distinguished ensemble of professionals and leaders: Prof. Dr. Alawi Ali Alsheikh Al Breiki, Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Dr. Ahmed Eid Al Mansouri, Dr. Suleiman Mohammed Al Hammadi, Essa Al Haj Khadem Al Maidoor, Abdullah Saeed Belyoahah, and the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer. This carefully selected group brings together expertise spanning medical research, educational innovation, and strategic governance.
The establishment of this Board represents a formal institutionalisation of the Foundation’s operations, positioning it to deliver greater impact across its dual mandate of advancing medical sciences and educational excellence. Executive Council Resolution No. (49) of 2026 became effective from its date of issuance and has been registered for publication in the Official Gazette, underscoring the administrative formality and permanence of this institutional development.
