Abu Dhabi to Host ADIPEC 2026, Global Energy Summit Convening Ministers and Industry Leaders
Held under the patronage of the UAE President, the world's largest energy conference will gather policymakers, technology leaders and investors in November 2026 to advance investment in resilient energy systems amid rising global demand and geopolitical volatility.
Abu Dhabi will host ADIPEC 2026, the world’s largest energy conference and exhibition, from 2 to 5 November 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the event will convene the global energy industry at a critical juncture as the world navigates rising energy demand, geopolitical uncertainty, infrastructure constraints and the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence.
Drawing on the UAE’s established position as a reliable energy supplier, long-term investment partner and global technology hub, ADIPEC 2026 will bring together ministers, chief executives, investors, technology leaders and policymakers to translate shared priorities into tangible action. Participants will align objectives, advance commercial partnerships and accelerate the projects and solutions necessary to sustain secure, reliable and affordable energy supplies whilst supporting long-term economic growth.
Confirmed Leadership and Speakers
The conference has already secured participation from senior government and industry figures, including His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE; Wael Sawan, Chief Executive of Shell; Patrick Pouyanne, Chairman and Chief Executive of TotalEnergies; Meg O’Neill, Chief Executive of bp; and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive of ENI. Additional confirmed speakers represent petroleum-producing nations, renewable energy innovators and technology leaders from across the globe, including senior figures from Siemens Energy, SLB, Baker Hughes and the World Energy Council.
Abdulmunim Al Kindy, Chairman of ADIPEC 2026, emphasised the conference’s strategic importance: “Recent volatility has reaffirmed a simple truth: energy security is economic stability. As demand rises and artificial intelligence transforms both the energy sector and the economies it powers, the world must invest ahead of demand, diversify supply and strengthen the infrastructure, technology and capabilities that keep energy moving.”
Redesigned Strategic Conference Format
For 2026, ADIPEC has substantially redesigned its Strategic Conference architecture around the fundamental forces reshaping the global energy landscape. Spanning 11 programmes and more than 380 sessions, the conference will examine critical decisions, partnerships and capital requirements necessary to expand energy supply, accelerate infrastructure delivery and strengthen long-term system performance.
The conference will open with a new Energy Security Forum, bringing together ministers, energy leaders, infrastructure operators and investors to examine how countries and companies can strengthen resilience and maintain reliable and affordable energy delivery amid uncertainty. Strategic Conference programmes include Energy Security & Resilience; Policy, Regulation & Governance; Upstream; Clean Power, Molecules & Carbon Management; Grids, Infrastructure & Industrial Execution; and Workforce & Skills. Existing programmes have been updated to reflect evolving priorities, including artificial intelligence, digital technology innovation and industrial value chains.
The Strategic Conference is complemented by the Technical Conference, featuring SPE Technical and Downstream Technical programmes that together represent the world’s largest gathering of technical energy engineers and experts.
Exhibition and Commercial Outcomes
The ADIPEC Exhibition will function as a global marketplace, with more than 2,250 companies already confirmed to participate. These include 54 national oil companies, international oil companies, national energy companies and independent energy companies, distributed across 16 halls and 30 country pavilions. Four specialised zones will connect market-ready technologies and solutions with customers, investors and partners, facilitating the transition of projects from opportunity to execution.
The 2025 edition demonstrated the conference’s commercial significance, generating US$53 billion in value through more than 49,000 deals. Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, the conference organisers, noted: “ADIPEC’s role as a platform for dialogue, collaboration and commercial engagement has never been more important.
