Sharjah's Judicial Leadership Reviews Cutting-Edge AI Integration and Modern Facilities

H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi inspects the Judicial Department's headquarters, examining innovative technology initiatives and enhanced workplace infrastructure designed to elevate judicial services across the emirate.

Sharjah’s commitment to modernising its judicial infrastructure took centre stage as H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Judicial Department’s headquarters. The visit highlighted significant progress in facilities development, technological advancement, and the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions aimed at strengthening both operational efficiency and service quality.

The inspection encompassed a thorough review of updated facilities and ongoing development initiatives, with particular emphasis on how technology is being deployed to enhance the experience of both employees and the public. The department has established dedicated customer service areas equipped with modern infrastructure for application submission and electronic transaction support, complemented by comfortable lounges and refreshment facilities.

A cornerstone of the department’s innovation strategy is “Majlisna”, a virtual training platform specifically designed to demystify artificial intelligence for judicial system employees. The comprehensive programme encompasses foundational AI instruction, advanced techniques in prompt writing, and guidance on the responsible deployment of contemporary technologies. Looking ahead, the platform will incorporate interactive training modules and sophisticated data analysis mechanisms to measure training effectiveness and real-world application impact.

The department is also piloting an AI-powered virtual assistant dedicated to marriage, notary and attestation services. This initiative represents a strategic effort to streamline the customer experience and foster interactive engagement with judicial services. Following the pilot phase evaluation and incorporation of user feedback, the system is positioned for gradual expansion across additional departmental services.

Accessibility remains central to Sharjah’s judicial vision. The “Athar” initiative specifically addresses the needs of People of Determination, systematically identifying barriers within the Public Prosecution’s electronic services and implementing tailored solutions. This programme ensures that all citizens can access and complete transactions independently and with dignity.

The Court of Cassation’s redesigned courtrooms represent a paradigm shift in judicial infrastructure. These spaces integrate state-of-the-art technology, supporting both in-person proceedings and remote videoconferencing whilst maintaining rigorous privacy standards. Judges benefit from seamless access to case documentation and digital files, substantially improving operational fluidity. Plans are advancing to extend this sophisticated model across all 21 courtrooms within the Court of Cassation.

The inspection also encompassed “Al Dar Lounge”, a thoughtfully designed multipurpose space prioritising employee wellbeing and institutional culture. This facility embodies the Judicial Council’s strategic commitment to fostering a stimulating, collaborative work environment that enhances staff satisfaction and encourages departmental cohesion.

The newly renovated General Secretariat offices exemplify contemporary workplace design, furnished with advanced equipment and technologies that facilitate efficient task completion. These modernised spaces directly support institutional excellence and enhanced service delivery standards.
