A Nation Sings Together

The melodies that have threaded through generations of Emirati life are returning to the stage, this time as a celebration that spans the breadth of the nation. Sing for the Nation, having found resonance in its inaugural performances, now ventures across the Emirates as the country approaches Eid Al Etihad, that moment when the nation pauses to reflect on its union and its journey.

The UAE National Orchestra leads this musical odyssey, breathing new life into the patriotic songs that have accompanied countless Emiratis and all who have chosen these shores as home. Fresh orchestral arrangements reimagine these familiar melodies, inviting audiences to hear anew what they have always known.

This season holds particular significance as the Year of Family unfolds across the nation. Emirati students take their place on stage alongside the orchestra, part of a collaboration with the Department of Education and Knowledge that reaches deeper into the Nabati Poetry Initiative. It is a deliberate act of connection, drawing younger generations towards the poetic heritage that defines Emirati identity, ensuring that the words and rhythms of the past resonate with those who will carry them forward.

In Al Ain, the performance unfolds beneath open sky at Al Jahili Fort, that historic citadel which stands as witness to the nation’s story. The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi joins in this endeavour, anchoring the celebration in a place that itself holds the memory of the Union.

The tour moves across the emirates, touching Abu Dhabi at the Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi on Saturday 7 November at 8 pm, Al Ain at Al Jahili Fort on Friday 20 November at 8 pm, Fujairah at the Fujairah Cultural Center on Saturday 28 November at 8 pm, and Ras Al Khaimah at the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Center on Tuesday 1 December at 7 pm.
