Abu Dhabi and ADGM Courts Forge Deeper Judicial Cooperation
Senior judicial officials from Abu Dhabi and the ADGM Courts have discussed enhanced collaboration in digital transformation and legal expertise to advance the emirate's justice system.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and ADGM Courts have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation through a high-level meeting that explored shared opportunities in judicial innovation and digital advancement.
Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, welcomed Lord Patrick Hodge, Chief Justice of ADGM Courts, and his accompanying delegation to discuss collaborative pathways in judicial practice and legal expertise. The meeting underscored the complementary relationship between Abu Dhabi’s judicial institutions and their mutual dedication to enhancing the administration of justice.
Mr Al Abri emphasised that the visit exemplified the substantive integration between judicial bodies across the emirate, highlighting how coordinated efforts and shared knowledge strengthen the broader justice ecosystem. He noted that such partnerships enable the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department to maintain its alignment with contemporary developments in legal practice whilst advancing the modernisation of judicial services.

The delegation toured the Department’s principal building, receiving comprehensive briefings on the case management infrastructure supporting Abu Dhabi’s courts, alongside explanations of the streamlined transactional processes and administrative frameworks. The tour encompassed an overview of the Civil Family Court’s services, which provides sophisticated mechanisms for resolving personal status matters affecting the expatriate community through flexible, contemporary procedures.
Discussions traversed several substantive areas, including the development of digital solutions and deployment of advanced technologies to optimise judicial procedures. The officials also exchanged insights on case management methodologies, dispute resolution frameworks and contemporary judicial practices that enhance access to justice and operational effectiveness.
