UAE Showcases Agentic AI Leadership at Salesforce Dreamforce Conference

The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its status as a global leader in AI-enabled governance, showcasing its distinctive experience in developing agentic artificial intelligence systems during Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce’s flagship annual conference. The presentation marked a significant moment in the international dialogue surrounding government modernisation and technological advancement.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, delivered a keynote fireside chat alongside Marc Benioff, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Salesforce. The discussion, presented to an audience of over 50 Chief AI Officers and global enterprise leaders, explored how the UAE has successfully transformed technological opportunities into integrated operating systems delivering measurable societal benefits.
The session highlighted the UAE’s strategic evolution from generative AI applications to agentic AI systems—a transition that fundamentally redesigns how government processes and services function. The Minister emphasised how agentic AI creates extensive opportunities for enhancing efficiency, increasing productivity, and accelerating the implementation of comprehensive, real-world technological solutions across the public sector.
A cornerstone of the discussion centred on the UAE’s ambitious target: transitioning 50 per cent of government services, sectors and operations to agentic AI-powered operating models within two years. This ambitious timeline reflects the nation’s commitment to comprehensive digital transformation whilst maintaining the lessons learned from scaling pilot projects into nationwide implementations.
The exchange explored several critical themes in contemporary governance. These included the nation’s early vision in establishing artificial intelligence as a national priority in 2017, the imperative collaboration between government institutions and technology companies, and the essential role of visionary leadership in building trusted ecosystems that deliver tangible societal benefits.
Salesforce’s chief executive expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that the UAE recognised AI as a national priority over a decade ago, driving both ambitious national objectives and meaningful societal progress. The ongoing collaboration between Salesforce and the UAE underscores shared commitment to advancing the artificial intelligence vision across governmental, commercial, and societal dimensions.
The Chief AI Officers delegation visited San Francisco to examine the latest global trends in agentic artificial intelligence, engage with advanced models and practices employed by leading technology enterprises, and explore innovations emerging from distinguished academic institutions. The visit included briefings on Salesforce’s latest AI solutions and attendance at sessions featuring prominent technology leaders, including Dario Amodei, Chief Executive Officer of Anthropic, and Jensen Huang, founder and Chief Executive Officer of NVIDIA.
