Abu Dhabi Completes First Phase of Environmental Centennial 2071
The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi has announced the successful completion of the first phase of Abu Dhabi’s Environmental Centennial 2071, a comprehensive initiative designed to safeguard the emirate’s natural resources and environmental heritage for generations to come.
Between 2023 and 2025, nine government entities working in concert have realised 751 achievements through the execution of 98 distinct programmes. This substantial body of work represents a significant step forward in the realisation of Abu Dhabi’s environmental vision, demonstrating the coordinated commitment of the emirate’s public sector to sustainable stewardship and ecological preservation.
The Environmental Centennial 2071 reflects Abu Dhabi’s strategic approach to balancing development with environmental protection, establishing frameworks and initiatives that extend far into the future. The completion of this opening phase signals both the momentum already achieved and the sustained focus that will characterise the years ahead as the emirate continues to advance its environmental objectives.
