ADI Foundation and Tokinvest Launch Strategic Partnership to Tokenise $100 Million Sukuk

Two leading digital asset institutions have joined forces to advance real-world asset tokenisation, combining institutional blockchain infrastructure with regulated financial capabilities to create new opportunities for investors.

ADI Foundation and Tokinvest have entered into a significant collaboration aimed at accelerating the tokenisation of real-world assets, with an initial focus on a US$100 million tokenised Sukuk programme. The Memorandum of Understanding brings together two complementary powerhouses in the digital finance sector to establish new pathways for asset digitalisation and blockchain-based settlement.

The partnership capitalises on ADI Foundation’s established Real World Asset Tokenisation pipeline and institutional blockchain infrastructure, combined with Tokinvest’s expertise in regulated structuring, investor onboarding and distribution. Tokinvest, a VARA-regulated digital investment platform headquartered in Dubai, has already demonstrated significant capability in this domain, having facilitated the distribution of Franklin Templeton’s tokenised money market fund, a Luxembourg-issued private-credit digital bond, and tokenised UK residential real estate.

The primary initiative under this collaboration involves the tokenisation of existing Sukuk issued by UAE-based organisations, with distribution occurring through established regulated distribution partnerships. This approach reflects a sophisticated understanding of how traditional Islamic finance instruments can be effectively modernised through blockchain technology whilst maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Beyond the Sukuk programme, the partnership will explore tokenisation opportunities across a diverse portfolio of real-world assets, encompassing private credit arrangements, investment funds and other yield-generating instruments. The framework established through this agreement is designed to create regulated digital investment products that broaden access for investors and establish new channels through which capital can flow into these markets.

Ramana Kumar, ADI Foundation’s President of Stablecoin Ecosystem, emphasised the strategic importance of the collaboration: “Bringing real-world assets on-chain requires the right combination of asset origination, regulated issuance and investor access. Tokinvest brings strong capabilities across structuring and distribution, while ADI provides the asset pipeline and blockchain infrastructure to support tokenised markets at scale.”

Scott Thiel, Chief Executive of Tokinvest, underscored the complementary nature of the partnership: “Our collaboration with ADI Foundation brings together two highly complementary capabilities: regulated digital investment infrastructure and institutional blockchain technology.”

The agreement establishes a structured process whereby both organisations will identify potential opportunities, evaluate their commercial and regulatory viability, and advance selected initiatives towards implementation. This measured approach reflects the maturity and professionalism now characterising the digital asset sector across the Emirates.
