A significant delivery of food aid has crossed into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing, marking a meaningful milestone in the Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge initiative. Implemented by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in cooperation with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, this continued effort demonstrates the United Arab Emirates’ unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during a time of considerable need.
The humanitarian intervention honours the legacy of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose profound dedication to humanitarian work continues to inspire coordinated relief efforts across the region. The initiative pursues an ambitious target of delivering more than 10 million meals to residents of the Gaza Strip, representing a substantial commitment to alleviating suffering and addressing fundamental human requirements.
Prior to this crossing, a series of aid flights departed from Al Maktoum International Airport, demonstrating the logistical sophistication and strategic coordination underpinning this humanitarian endeavour. The UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre, based in Al Arish, Egypt, has proven instrumental in orchestrating the preparation, loading and transport of assistance to the crossing point, facilitating the seamless movement of vital resources into the Gaza Strip.
