According to a statement from the Delegation of the European Union to the United Arab Emirates, the partnership reflects a relationship that has matured considerably since the UAE’s establishment, evolving from foundational diplomatic connections into a robust framework encompassing economic, political and security dimensions.

The EU has positioned itself as the UAE’s foremost investment partner, whilst the Emirates serve as Europe’s second-largest trade partner in the region.
