H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed inspects service and economic projects in Ghayathi
The Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra reviewed a new industrial land scheme and the road linking Ghayathi with Madinat Zayed, underlining efforts to boost connectivity and sustainable growth in the region.
Inspection of infrastructure and economic initiatives in Al Dhafra
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, carried out an inspection of several service and economic projects in Ghayathi on 13 September 2026. The visit is part of his ongoing programme of follow‑up on development across Al Dhafra, assessing local needs and supporting the region’s growth foundations.
During the tour H.H. Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the new industrial land project and received a briefing on its components and objectives. The project is intended to support industrial and investment activity by providing a suitable environment for business owners, thereby contributing to stronger economic activity within Ghayathi.
He also inspected the road linking Ghayathi and Madinat Zayed, examining progress on ongoing development works and the road’s role in facilitating movement for residents. The route is expected to strengthen connectivity between the two cities and to support both economic and service activities across the area.
Muhammad Ali Al Mansouri, Director‑General of Al Dhafrah Region Municipality, briefed H.H. Sheikh Hamdan on current projects, future plans and the services and facilities being designed to meet the needs of Ghayathi and its planned expansion. The visit included discussions of how these initiatives fit within the broader development strategy for the region.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of sustained efforts to address residents’ needs across Al Dhafra and to enhance opportunities for sustainable growth. He noted that the development and service projects underway reflect the continued support extended by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and are aligned with a commitment to advancing comprehensive development and improving quality of life for the region’s population.
The projects in Ghayathi form part of an integrated vision to further develop the cities of Al Dhafra Region and to enhance their competitiveness in line with future aspirations and the region’s sustainable development drive. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied on the visit by Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Under‑Secretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, along with a number of regional officials.
