Abu Dhabi hosts major economic forum bringing together over 800 officials, investors and experts to forge partnerships across emerging sectors and global markets
Investopia Bridge 2026 has concluded in Abu Dhabi, drawing together more than 800 officials, investors, entrepreneurs and economic experts from the UAE and around the world. The distinguished event, held at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, was characterised by comprehensive engagement across investment topics, with over 30 speakers including ministers, policymakers and leading business figures contributing to substantive discourse.
The forum, organised under the theme “Investing in a More Resilient World,” facilitated the signing of seven memoranda of understanding between prominent companies and institutions at local, regional and international levels. These agreements encompassed ten panel discussions addressing critical economic trends and eight specialised roundtable meetings focused on investment innovation and growth opportunities.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Co-Chair of Investopia, emphasised that the event’s outcomes reflect the UAE’s unwavering commitment to economic openness and sustainable international partnerships. He highlighted how the collaborative discussions reinforced the necessity of strengthening cooperation between governments, the private sector and investors to develop solutions to economic challenges and leverage global shifts as growth opportunities.
Among the significant agreements concluded was a Memorandum of Understanding between the UAE Ministry of Investment and Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, focusing on industrial and manufacturing cooperation, advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech and biotechnology. Additionally, KEZAD Group established a partnership with Scottish Enterprise to create a Scottish Energy Transition Centre in Abu Dhabi, strengthening collaboration in sustainable innovation.
LuLu Money and Mastercard unveiled an integrated financial ecosystem initiative dedicated to supporting UAE small and medium enterprises, combining business accounts, financial solutions and advisory expertise. In the investment and capital markets sector, Investopia and China Securities International formalised cooperation, coinciding with the establishment of the latter’s first international office outside China.
The Future100 initiative signed three strategic agreements with Nuwa Capital Limited, Global Ventures and Carta, each designed to expand partnerships and enhance growth trajectories for participating companies. Global Ventures committed to investing at least USD 1 million in Future100 initiative companies, while Carta provided eligible enterprises with significant subscription discounts.
The forum also witnessed the launch of the HAL project, developed by SC Ventures in collaboration with Mashreq’s New Ventures and LuLu Financial Holdings, alongside strategic partners including Beehive, Microsoft, Visa and Aramex. This initiative aims to strengthen SME capabilities through specialised financial and technology solutions.
Two comprehensive reports were unveiled: the China-Arab Business and Investment Report 2026, prepared in collaboration with the Sino International Entrepreneurs Federation, and the Future100 growth report highlighting participating companies’ development trajectories and supporting ecosystem partners.
The event concluded by reaffirming investment priorities including emerging asset classes, private finance, infrastructure, digital assets and venture capital. Investopia announced that its flagship edition will convene in Abu Dhabi in March 2027, continuing to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global platform for new economy investment and innovation.
