National Media Authority Convenes Zero Bureaucracy Council to Advance Publishing Sector Services

The National Media Authority has established an inaugural Zero Bureaucracy Customer Council dedicated to the publishing sector, creating a collaborative platform to streamline procedures and elevate service delivery through direct engagement with industry stakeholders.
The National Media Authority has inaugurated its first Zero Bureaucracy Customer Council for the publishing sector, establishing an interactive forum through which industry professionals and customers may articulate their experiences, illuminate operational challenges and collaborate in identifying pathways to procedural simplification and enhanced service provision. This thoughtfully conceived initiative reflects a commitment to translating stakeholder feedback into substantive improvements that facilitate business transactions and foster sustainable growth within the sector.
The council serves as a distinguished platform for candid discourse surrounding customers’ interactions with the Authority’s services, enabling participants to discuss impediments they encounter and explore meaningful opportunities to streamline requirements and expedite procedures. Through this consultative approach, the Authority endeavours to identify priority areas for refinement based upon the authentic needs and aspirations of those it serves.
Maitha Majid Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Media Regulation at the National Media Authority, emphasised that meaningful customer engagement represents a cornerstone of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, demonstrating how the publishing sector’s requirements may be thoughtfully transformed into tangible operational enhancements that accelerate service delivery and increase procedural efficiency.
Al Suwaidi articulated the Authority’s broader vision, noting that the advancement of publishing sector services forms an integral component of cultivating an environment conducive to knowledge and creative industries. By affording professionals greater latitude to develop their enterprises and produce content of genuine societal enrichment, the Authority recognises the profound connection between streamlined administration and cultural vitality. She emphasised the organisation’s commitment to ensuring customers experience meaningful improvements manifested through transparent requirements, simplified service access and expedited delivery timelines.
The Authority has further committed to integrating artificial intelligence into publishing sector services, envisioning AI-assisted solutions that will substantially reduce procedural complexity, diminish administrative requirements and accelerate transactional processes. Recognising the imperative of customer-centred design, the Authority remains steadfast in its dedication to ensuring that stakeholder suggestions materially influence the development of these sophisticated services, thereby guaranteeing alignment with genuine industry needs and sustained support for business expansion.
Customer councils, as explained by Al Suwaidi, function as catalysts for converting feedback and suggestions into actionable strategic priorities whilst simultaneously monitoring the tangible impact of improvements upon customer experience. This mechanism substantially strengthens customer participation in service development and provides rigorous evaluation frameworks for assessing service efficiency and effectiveness.
