Q Mobility Introduces Paid Parking Across Three Sectors in Al Ain

A significant enhancement to the emirate's parking infrastructure comes into effect this week, with the introduction of regulated parking across three sectors in Al Ain's Mu'tarid and Central Districts.
The implementation of paid parking across three carefully selected sectors in Al Ain represents a thoughtful evolution in the emirate’s approach to urban mobility and public space management. Effective from 26th October, this initiative has been introduced by Q Mobility under the regulatory oversight of the Integrated Transport Centre, an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and reflects a commitment to enhancing the everyday experience of residents, visitors and employees throughout the city.
The three sectors designated for this phase encompass Al Mu’tarid and the Central District, comprising a total of 1,455 parking spaces that have been meticulously planned to serve the diverse needs of the community. The scheme thoughtfully includes dedicated spaces reserved for People of Determination, ensuring that the infrastructure remains inclusive and accessible to all members of society.
This measured approach to parking regulation has been developed in response to the considerable demand placed upon public parking facilities, a natural consequence of Al Ain’s sustained population growth and the continuing expansion of its commercial and service sectors. By establishing a structured system for parking usage, the emirate aims to optimise the efficient allocation of these valuable public resources whilst simultaneously facilitating smoother traffic flow throughout the city.
The initiative is designed to deliver tangible benefits across multiple dimensions of urban life. Enhanced parking efficiency will ensure that residents, visitors and employees can access the city’s establishments, facilities and services with greater ease, whilst the introduction of regulated usage promises to elevate the overall mobility experience for all who navigate Al Ain’s streets.
Motorists utilising the designated standard parking spaces will be required to pay a fee of AED2 per hour, with payment conveniently available through the Darb and TAMM applications. Q Mobility has emphasised the importance of compliance with all approved signage and instructions, encouraging all users to employ parking spaces in accordance with their designated purposes and to remit the applicable fees as prescribed by the regulations.
