Ras Al Khaimah delegation concludes transformative four-state American mission with three Letters of Intent and expanded bilateral opportunities

A high-profile delegation from Ras Al Khaimah has concluded an extensive four-state mission across the United States, establishing three Letters of Intent with leading American business organisations and forging new pathways for trade, investment and institutional cooperation across Florida, Michigan, Nevada and Utah.
A distinguished delegation from Ras Al Khaimah has successfully concluded a comprehensive four-state mission across the United States, strengthening institutional relationships and establishing new commercial opportunities across Florida, Michigan, Nevada and Utah. The mission, led by Dr Carel Richter, Advisor to International Relations in the Office of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, encompassed engagements with governmental institutions, leading businesses, investment organisations, universities and economic development authorities.
The delegation achieved significant outcomes through the signing of three Letters of Intent between the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by Director-General Dr Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, and three prominent American business organisations: the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Ann Arbor SPARK in Michigan and World Trade Center Utah. These agreements establish frameworks for enhanced business collaboration, strengthened economic cooperation and expanded opportunities spanning trade, investment, entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships.
Dr Richter articulated the mission’s significance, emphasising that Ras Al Khaimah has demonstrated the strength of its emerging relationships across America and the profound opportunities available through sustained engagement. The delegation’s programme prioritised economic development, advanced manufacturing, technology and innovation, hospitality, tourism, education, food and agriculture, real estate and infrastructure development.
In Florida, the delegation conducted more than twenty meetings, including engagements with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and former Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, building upon the 2025 agreement between Ras Al Khaimah and the City of Miami. Collaborative discussions with the University of Miami and Florida International University explored opportunities in education, innovation and business development.
Michigan hosted thirty-four engagements across Lansing, Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit, advancing opportunities in advanced manufacturing, engineering, robotics, agritech and healthcare technology. Partnerships with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, University of Michigan and Michigan State University opened pathways for investment, research collaboration and international market access, with twelve companies identifying potential opportunities with Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone.
Nevada’s programme developed a comprehensive pipeline of opportunities across economic development, hospitality and technology sectors. Engagements with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development identified potential cooperation in sustainable mining and advanced lithium systems, whilst a business forum generated significant investor leads across technology, cybersecurity and fintech sectors. The delegation advanced cooperation with Wynn Resorts ahead of the September 2027 opening of Wynn Al Marjan Island.
In Utah, the delegation expanded its partnership network through the Letter of Intent with World Trade Center Utah, creating new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment. Engagements across Utah’s innovation, tourism and hospitality sectors provided valuable insights into destination development and public-private partnership models.
The delegation, comprising representatives from the Office of the Ruler, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, RAKEZ, RAK Properties, Marjan, Innovation City and the Department of Knowledge, will now focus on converting identified opportunities into concrete projects and further formal agreements with prospective investors and institutional partners.
