Sharjah's Real Estate Sector Achieves Robust Growth with AED 46.8 Billion in Transactions

The emirate's property market demonstrates exceptional resilience and continued expansion, recording substantial increases in both transaction volume and monetary value during the first nine months of 2026.

Sharjah’s real estate sector has demonstrated considerable strength throughout the opening nine months of 2026, reflecting the emirate’s enduring appeal as a premier investment destination. The sector has achieved impressive growth across multiple performance indicators, reinforcing its position as a vital economic engine within the emirate.

The total monetary transaction volume reached AED 46.8 billion during this period, representing a commendable advancement from AED 44.3 billion recorded during the corresponding months of 2025, thereby achieving a growth trajectory of 5.6 per cent. The robust expansion extends equally to transaction volumes, with the total number of transactions reaching 91,560, a notable increase of 14 per cent when measured against the 80,320 transactions completed in the same period of the preceding year.

The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has disclosed that title deed transactions climbed to 34,420, an increase of 11.2 per cent, whilst preliminary sales contracts reached 11,258. Mortgage transactions demonstrated particular vigour, reaching 3,839 transactions with an aggregate value of approximately AED 10.2 billion distributed across 31 financing entities, underscoring the robust appetite for diverse property acquisition mechanisms.

Sales transactions throughout the emirate totalled 24,749 during the nine-month period, representing a 2.1 per cent increase over the equivalent 2025 timeframe. These transactions encompassed an impressive trading volume of AED 35 billion across 216 distinct areas, covering a total traded expanse of 138 million square feet. Muwaileh Commercial emerged as the foremost performing locality, recording 3,440 transactions valued at AED 3.9 billion, followed by Al Buleida with 2,728 transactions amounting to AED 1.8 billion.

Residential properties maintained their pre-eminence within the market, accounting for 19,910 units sold, equivalent to 80.5 per cent of total activity. Industrial properties claimed the secondary position with 3,524 units representing 14.2 per cent of transactions, whilst commercial properties contributed 1,295 units at 5.2 per cent. The registering of 22 new real estate projects across residential, industrial and commercial sectors exemplifies the emirate’s steadfast commitment to fashioning an integrated urban environment that satisfies the requirements of both residents and investors whilst fostering sustainable market development.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, attributed this exceptional performance to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the conscientious stewardship of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. These endeavours have been instrumental in establishing Sharjah as a leading and profoundly attractive investment hub of considerable regional and international standing.
