Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Celebrates Educational Excellence in Ras Al Khaimah
The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah honours 68 recipients across 26 categories at the 20th edition of the RAK Awards for Educational Excellence, underscoring the emirate's commitment to nurturing future generations.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has presided over the presentation of the 20th RAK Awards for Educational Excellence, recognising outstanding achievements across the emirate’s education sector. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Culture’s Ras Al Khaimah Cultural and Creative Centre, where 68 recipients were honoured across 26 award categories.
In his remarks, His Highness emphasised education’s fundamental role in societal advancement, observing that investment in younger generations and equipping them with contemporary knowledge and skills strengthens the nation’s development trajectory. He underscored the importance of recognising educational excellence as a means of encouraging hard work, ambition and meaningful contribution—values central to the emirate’s vision.
The awards programme encompasses a diverse range of educational disciplines, including excellence in research, innovation, environmental sustainability, performance and student wellbeing. Schools, principals, teachers, parents and students have been recognised for their distinguished contributions to fostering an environment in which learning flourishes and aspirations are realised.
Established in 2004 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the RAK Awards for Educational Excellence represent one of Ras Al Khaimah’s most significant education initiatives. Over two decades, the programme has cultivated a culture of excellence throughout the education community, encouraging all stakeholders—from administrators to families—to pursue continuous development and innovation.
His Highness expressed his appreciation to educational institutions, schools, educators and parents for their pivotal role in supporting students and creating spaces where young people can realise their potential. He emphasised that equipping students with knowledge and skills to navigate change, identify opportunity and contribute meaningfully to society remains essential to shaping capable, responsible generations prepared for the challenges ahead.
The 20th edition of the Awards reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s sustained dedication to enhancing educational outcomes and advancing the emirate’s long-term aspirations through recognition, encouragement and support for excellence across all levels of the education system.
