Sultan of Oman Welcomes Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi on Official Visit
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Al Baraka Palace, affirming the depth of fraternal relations between the UAE and Oman.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman extended a warm welcome to H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, during an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on 30th September, 2026. The reception at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat underscored the enduring bonds between two neighbouring Gulf nations.
At the commencement of their meeting, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon conveyed the cordial greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to His Majesty the Sultan, expressing wishes for continued health, happiness and prosperity for both the Sultanate and its people. His Majesty reciprocated these sentiments, extending warm greetings to the UAE leadership and extending his hopes for the nation’s ongoing progress and advancement.
The dialogue, which included H.H. Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, centred upon deepening the distinguished relations between the two countries. Both delegations explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, with particular emphasis on initiatives that would benefit their shared economic interests and enhance prosperity for their respective populations.
The discussions encompassed a comprehensive range of matters of mutual concern, with both sides exchanging thoughtful perspectives on regional and bilateral developments. Following the formal meeting, His Majesty hosted a luncheon honouring the visiting delegation.
H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon’s delegation comprised several senior officials instrumental in the UAE’s governance and economic development. These included Ali bin Hammed Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; and Sultan Obaid Al Yabhouni, Director General of the Office of the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The Omani side was represented by Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority.
