Tahnoun International Airport records robust expansion in cargo and aircraft movements

Tahnoun International Airport has recorded substantial expansion across its operations, with year-on-year growth of 17.1 per cent in aircraft movements and 63 per cent in cargo volumes during the third quarter of 2026.

The expansion reinforces the airport’s expanding role as a vital hub for commerce and travel across the Al Ain Region, strengthening connectivity throughout the United Arab Emirates and across the broader Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

The growth underscores the continued development of aviation infrastructure in the emirate and the airport’s contribution to facilitating regional trade and passenger movement. The increases in both aircraft operations and cargo handling capacity reflect the expanding demand for air transport services across the region.
