Team Dalma Takes to the Court in Historic Padel Tournament

The padel calendar welcomes a new chapter with the inaugural Hexagon World Series, an international tournament of considerable significance that will conclude its journey in Abu Dhabi during October 2027. Among the competitors taking part in this inaugural series stands Team Dalma, a participant whose name carries the weight of the UAE’s maritime heritage.

Team Dalma derives its identity from Dalma Island, one of the oldest inhabited destinations within the Emirates. The island, steeped in history and cultural resonance, becomes a symbolic anchor for the team as it competes across the series. The choice reflects a thoughtful connection between contemporary sport and the nation’s storied past, threading together the dynamism of modern athletic pursuits with the enduring legacy of Emirati geography and settlement.

The decision to position Abu Dhabi as the host for the tournament’s series finale underscores the emirate’s growing prominence as a destination for international sporting events. The venue promises to provide a fitting conclusion to what will be the inaugural running of this global competition, with the padel community and enthusiasts gathering to witness the pinnacle of the tournament’s inaugural season.
