The View Palm Jumeirah marks five years with a daring new perspective

Five years after opening its doors to the city, The View Palm Jumeirah has chosen to mark this milestone with something altogether more thrilling than reflection alone. The Ledge at The View invites guests to venture beyond the safety of the observation deck and onto eight glass ledges that extend 1.5 metres into open air, suspending them between the sky and the extraordinary vista below.

The conception is elegantly simple yet profoundly bold. Four of these glass extensions face the Palm Jumeirah itself, where guests can contemplate the architectural marvel against the Arabian Gulf’s sweep of blue. The remaining four ledges direct attention towards Dubai’s evolving skyline, placing visitors at the very heart of the panorama they have travelled to witness. In five years alone, the venue has marked 1,825 sunrises and sunsets, provided the setting for forty proposals, and served as the chosen vantage point for three hundred professional photographers seeking to capture the city and its most iconic manmade structure from above.
