The United Arab Emirates has reinforced its dedication to peacekeeping and international security through a significant side event convened during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The Strategic Police Advisory Group, which the Emirates chairs, organised the gathering to showcase the nation’s multifaceted contributions to peace operations worldwide.
A centrepiece of the event was recognition of the inaugural United Nations Peacekeeping Chiefs Workshop, hosted by the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi from 31st August through 4th September 2026. This groundbreaking gathering assembled senior leaders from the police and military components of peacekeeping missions across the globe, creating an invaluable platform for strengthening operational effectiveness and coordination.
