Ajman Municipality celebrates completion of 27 transformative AI initiatives
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi has commended the successful implementation of artificial intelligence programmes across Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, marking a significant advancement in digital government services and operational efficiency.
Ajman has achieved a remarkable milestone in its digital transformation journey, with Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, commending the successful implementation of 27 comprehensive artificial intelligence initiatives. These programmes represent a substantial commitment to modernising government operations and enhancing public services across the emirate.
The AI initiatives reflect a strategic alignment with broader United Arab Emirates government directives promoting technological innovation and digital excellence. They address key operational areas spanning public health, urban planning, infrastructure development, human resources, financial management and customer service delivery. Each initiative has been specifically designed to translate artificial intelligence capabilities into practical solutions that directly benefit Ajman’s residents and businesses.
The Public Health and Environment Sector has introduced several sophisticated systems. The Smart Food Registration Service creates a unified database for food products, streamlining inspection and control processes. The Food Import and Export Platform, the first such smart government platform in the UAE, integrates seven interconnected services for expedited clearance procedures. The Raqeeb System employs artificial intelligence to analyse inspection data, identify risks and optimise resource allocation through predictive analytics.
Infrastructure and urban planning have been transformed through geospatial AI applications. The Urban Intelligence Lens initiative has reduced planning approval times from 21 days to three days by converting Ajman’s urban plan into a smart, responsive ecosystem. Similarly, the Smart Land Planning initiative has compressed land-use studies from five days to several hours, whilst the Land Level Certificates Portal has automated certificate issuance entirely.
Administrative efficiency has improved substantially across support services. The Recooty AI Recruitment Platform streamlines hiring processes, the AI Invoice Auditor automates financial verification through optical character recognition technology, and the My Tenders initiative has enhanced procurement governance. The Investment Department’s Intelligent Valuation System now provides real-time property market analysis and pricing estimates.
Customer experience has been enhanced through the Smart Forecasting System, which predicts service demand and waiting times, and the Smart Guide 360 initiative, offering interactive multilingual customer assistance. The Husn platform delivers advanced security surveillance with visual analytics and artificial intelligence-powered event detection.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid emphasised the importance of continuous development and integration of these initiatives, highlighting their contribution to faster service delivery, data-informed decision-making and enhanced institutional performance. The implementation programme includes capacity-building initiatives such as the AI Makers Journey, which develops employee skills and encourages innovation through specialised training and applied challenges.
These 27 initiatives collectively demonstrate Ajman Municipality & Planning Department’s commitment to building a smarter, more responsive government ecosystem that anticipates community needs whilst improving operational excellence and service quality.
