LIVEX 2026 Opens Doors to Global Leaders and Investors in Abu Dhabi
The inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition launched at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, bringing together international stakeholders to explore sustainable urban development and investment opportunities across six pivotal themes.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport has inaugurated the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026) at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, establishing an international platform for dialogue on urban development, quality of life and sustainable investment. The three-day exhibition runs until 1st October and convenes government leaders, investors, developers, entrepreneurs and experts to exchange knowledge and explore collaborative opportunities.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, opened the exhibition before senior officials and representatives from government and private sectors. His remarks emphasised Abu Dhabi’s commitment to building upon the developmental legacy established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, whose vision placed people at the centre of progress.
Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the emirate pursues an ambitious vision to become the world’s most liveable destination. This aspiration encompasses integrated infrastructure, exceptional education and healthcare services, thoughtfully designed public spaces, and a commitment to strengthening community cohesion whilst preserving local heritage and identity.
Al Shorafa articulated the intrinsic relationship between liveability and investment, noting that attractive environments nurture talent retention, support population stability and facilitate business expansion. Similarly, investment in infrastructure and services creates thriving communities and bolsters economic strength. LIVEX 2026 represents a deliberate initiative to facilitate knowledge exchange, identify cooperation prospects and establish partnerships that reinforce Abu Dhabi’s global standing as a centre for both liveability and investment.
The exhibition encompasses six thematic pillars—Liveability, Culture, Education, Economy, Energy and Health—whilst investigating the evolving landscape of urban development and the transformative potential of innovation and technology in advancing cities and enhancing community wellbeing. A comprehensive programme of strategic panel discussions, development project presentations and high-level meetings enables decision-makers, investors and sector representatives to exchange expertise and forge meaningful partnerships.
LIVEX 2026 anticipates attracting more than 20,000 participants from over 50 countries, alongside more than 1,500 investors. The exhibition features over 40 exhibitors and engages 100 global speakers, reflecting the scale of international engagement and Abu Dhabi’s recognised position as a leading global destination for urban development and quality of life initiatives.
