UAE advances to Gulf Cup 27 semi-finals with commanding victory over Bahrain

The UAE national football team has advanced to the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup 27 after a dominant performance against Bahrain at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on Sunday.

The convincing 3-0 victory in the second round of Group B sees the UAE consolidate their position at the top of the standings with six points from two matches. The team now awaits their final group fixture against Qatar on Wednesday, with both nations having already secured their passage to the semi-final stage.

The match saw the UAE establish control early, with Othman Camara breaking the deadlock in the 30th minute to set the tone for the encounter. Guilherme Bala extended the lead in the 66th minute, before Ali Saleh sealed the victory with a third goal in the 88th minute, securing an impressive goal difference advantage in the group.

Qatar also progressed with six points from their opening matches, though the final group placings will be determined when the two frontrunners meet on Wednesday. The defeats have eliminated both Bahrain and Yemen from the tournament following disappointing results in their opening fixtures.
