UAE Pavilion Records Impressive Opening at Marrakech Airshow 2026

Seven leading national defence entities welcomed over 1,200 visitors on the inaugural day of the prestigious international aviation event in Morocco, with senior military delegations and industry leaders engaging in strategic discussions.
The UAE Pavilion made a remarkable debut at Marrakech Airshow 2026, welcoming 1,208 visitors during its opening day at the Royal Moroccan Air Force Base. The four-day event, held under the distinguished patronage of King Mohammed VI, brought together seven prominent national defence entities under a unified platform designed to foster international collaboration.
Operating with the support of the Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, and orchestrated by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, the pavilion showcased the capabilities of the Ministry of Defence, EDGE Group, Generation 5, Multi Level Group, Resource Industries, Nation Shield and Al Jundi Journal. This comprehensive assembly enabled direct engagement with international buyers, industry leaders, government representatives and military delegations from across the globe.
The opening day attracted considerable interest from official delegations and senior figures within the defence and aerospace sectors. Among notable visitors from the United Arab Emirates was Major General Staff Mohammed Salem Al Hameli, Deputy Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence. Morocco’s representation included Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade; Abdellatif Loudyi, Minister Delegate for the Administration of National Defence; Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone; Rear Admiral Mohamed Tahin, Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Navy; and Major General Mohammed Gadih, Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Air Force.
The pavilion facilitated 23 collaborative meetings on its inaugural day, with individual entities demonstrating substantial engagement. EDGE conducted five meetings, Generation 5 participated in two, Multi Level Group arranged five discussions, and Resource Industries secured eleven meetings with international partners. These interactions explored promising opportunities for future cooperation and strengthened international relationships between UAE entities and the global defence and security community.
Capital Events, the event management division of ADNEC Group, leveraged the Marrakech platform to promote Abu Dhabi’s prestigious defence exhibitions. Fifteen meetings advanced interest in the International Defence Exhibition and Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition scheduled for January 2027, whilst ten meetings promoted the forthcoming Unmanned Systems Exhibition and nine advanced the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience. The strong international reception underscores growing enthusiasm for participating in these world-class events.
